Houston is an emerging paintball market and one that’s being rapidly built up with events like the Houston CmM Paintball Championship and the Houston Open.
While there are many local events to attend, it’s only in recent years that paintball has been able to become a full-fledged business in Texas.
The growth of the industry has seen paintball leagues sprout up in the state, with events such as the Houston Paintball Championships, the Houston Regional Paintball League and the Texas Invitational Paintball Open being among the top draws.
While there’s plenty of competition in the paintball scene, it seems as though the only competition comes from a few very well-funded local paintball companies.
With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that paintballs are now a household name in the Lone Star State.
For those unfamiliar with the term, paintball is a sport in which players attempt to destroy their opponents by firing projectiles through a set of paintball guns, or darts.
Paintball tournaments are held in arenas, usually large stadiums with several large screens for spectators to watch the action on.
The games are usually fairly long and involve a lot of hand-to-hand combat, with players aiming to land the highest number of hits on their opponents.
There are currently more than 1,500 tournaments across Texas, and these tournaments are all held within the city of Houston.
As you might expect, there are plenty of different types of paintballs to choose from.
While paintballs may seem to be all about guns and explosions, they are actually all about teamwork and having fun.
This is the perfect sport for kids and adults alike, who can have a blast playing against their friends and co-workers, or just chilling with their loved ones after a long day at work.
