An Indian paintball team is set to take on the US at the upcoming paintball championships in 2019, the International Paintball Federation (IPF) has announced.
The IPF confirmed that the Indian team will compete in the International paintball Championship in 2019 in India.
The event, which will take place in the city of Coimbatore, will be the first tournament of its kind in the country and will be held on April 21-23.IPF president Rishi Bhagwati said the tournament will be an opportunity for the country to showcase its top talent and showcase the best of Indian paintballs.
“It will be a showcase for our country’s paintball industry and its unique culture and I am sure it will be attended by a number of international paintball players, coaches and spectators,” Bhagwe said.
“India is set for a strong future with an emerging industry, but we are also determined to provide a good experience for the visitors.
This is a key element of our IPF membership programme, which aims to nurture and nurture the growth of our industry.”
The IPFs annual championships, which take place every four years in a number on the basis of the number of registrations, have been attracting some of the world’s best paintballers to the Indian capital for the past few years.
