Paintball Knight’s first foray into the California paintball scene was welcomed with open arms.
“We are proud to welcome Paintball Kings to the Golden State.
California has a rich history of paintball tournaments, and we are excited to be in a state where we can expand our community with our new home,” said Kyle Stokley, Paintball King’s general manager.
The team will play its first season at the California Paintball Expo this Friday, July 6, 2018, in Santa Ana, California.
It’s a fitting way for PaintballKing to celebrate its first year in California.
The event, which takes place this year on July 4-6, celebrates the birth of the state’s first indoor paintball tournament in 1972.
Stokley said the tournament is a chance for players to compete for the title of “King of Paintball” and for fans to enjoy the thrill of competing for the first time in their home state.
With an emphasis on competitive play, the PaintballKings’ first season in California will also include the tournament of its life.
Paintball Kings will hold its first event at the San Diego Convention Center in 2018.
While Paintball is growing across the country, Stokly said the Kings will be focusing their efforts on the California market, which he said has been a huge success.
There are more than 100,000 active paintball players in the United States and more than 3,000 teams competing at any given time, Stinkley said.
In California, Paintballs will be able to compete against other states’ teams for prize money, tournament prize money and merchandise.
Paintball can be found at sporting goods stores nationwide.
Although the Paintballs’ home is in the state of California, they will be traveling across the United State to attend tournaments throughout the country in 2019.
Stokly is also looking to expand beyond the paintball community.
Paintballs can be seen in some other sports including baseball, football, rugby and even rugby league.
Stinkley also noted that Paintballs is currently in the process of launching a team called Paintball Warriors, which will compete in the Premier League of American paintball in 2019-2020.
